In all fairness....

It is not fair to say that this building is a dump. It is not, but it
has definitely not been in great shape the last couple of years. As
far as Patty, she is really not a very nice person at all. I and
several other tenants have decided to bypass her altogether from now
on and take our issues to Jim Dougherty. He is with the Illinois
Housing Development Authority or IHDA at 401 N. Michigan Ave. The
building is run by New Frontier Management Company. If New Frontier
does not want to help the tenants out with Patty, then IHDA may
rethink renewing the contract with New Frontier. He is the one to
talk with and he is a very nice man. I can??t say that I know who
Kathy is, but she sounds like a viable alternative to Patty. Lastly,
I don??t think the previous posts are blaming section 8 for all the
issues with this building. I think some tenants are to blame, but
management should bear most of the responsibility. Patty has treated
the tenants here so poorly that they have a care less attitude. Some
tenants appear to be deliberately ??trashing?? this building to get
back at her. In a way, I don??t blame them because it is their only
recourse against her. I wish they wouldn??t do this, because we ALL
have to live here under these conditions.
