Horrific Building

The noise problem is serious. Lots of overcrowded (illegal ' ) apartments, filled with local college students who seem to live to party. IF they stayed in their apartment, no one would care, but many seem to think they are in a dorm and insist on 'partying' with their doors open until all hours. And though the concierge staff tries to help, what can they do with a bunch of rowdy kids' Call the police' So it feels as though we are all alone when all hell is breaking loose down the hall. very disquieting...

Then there are the corporate apartments. Instead of just leasing to people coming in for business for a week, two weeks, etc, Leading Apartments (partly owned by the company that owns the building) leases apartments like hotel rooms for one night at a time. Much cheaper than a downtown hotel, and with no security AT ALL, rowdy party-animals are drawn to MDA like bugs to a bright light. The results are predictable: Damage to the building, noise, and undesirables wandering the halls. Even motels in downtown areas have security - what's wrong with these yo-yos running the place'

Then there is the security issues: There are doors to the apartments that are unlocked, that anyone who knows how, can just walk in off the street. Guests of people staying with Leading Apartments just walk-in without even being announced. There even was a reported rape last week, though in fairness i have no idea what happened, just that it was reported.

Overall: The building has some lovely design aspects, but is run very poorly, though i will say that the maintenance staff is the best I've ever encountered (the chief engineer has a Phd in Physics!).

I know who this person is and he is one of the biggest complainers of the building. He is just mad because he could not con management into lowering his rent. When you listen to the negative non-sense that issues forth from his huge rattling mouth, the impression is that he is one of the most unhappiest, envious and jealous people that you will ever meet in life. He is very jealous and envious of the young people that are living in this building and that can afford to live here seemingly without any financial burdens. Unlike him, who cannot afford to live here because of living above his means. Regarding the rape that he alleges was reported last week, "though in all fairness I have no idea what happened, just that it was reported". is a crock of crap and he is ill informed and therefore he is talking out of the side of his neck with senseless dribble. The building like any other building has some problems but not the many problems he is conjuring up out of his deceit filled, envious and jealous heart. He needs to move into his own house and therefore avoid living in such a community that he is so apparently unhappy with.

I think the original post is accurate. I had to move out after I stayed there only three months. I love the location of the building but I could not stand these party kids and noise.

I think that the original post is accurate. The partying got better for a while, but recently it has gotten worse. It is okay to have a party. However when the police are called by several different apartments and multiple times in the same night, I think that there is a problem. The reality is that there are no kids living in the building. We are all adults. If some people do not take their responsibilities of living in the building as a adult, then they should be evicted. It seems that there are grounds for eviction when police are called to the same unit many times.
