This bldg is in a great location. The doormen are great. People in the bldg are nice. The maintenance people are helpful, expecially given what they have to deal with -- an old bldg and lousy office mgmt.

If you move here, hope and pray you don't ever need help from the mgmt office because they don't seem to be capable of responding to voice mail or even their website generated email.

The bldg is old so be prepared for problems. I regularly (at least 5 times per month) have heavy black soot in my shower, where I'm supposed to be trying to get clean and wash my hair. Would seem like a basic to expect that you could have clean water in your bathroom. I was told by the office to just let it run until the water was clear. When there is a problem, I could let it run for hours and it wouldn't matter. That doesn't matter to them. I was told by maintenance that this was a common complaint by residents.

Also, in January, the heat was off for hours for 2 of the coldest days this winter. I have pets in my home. For about 5-6 hours on the first day my pets were left in a very cold aptmt. The office never made any effort to contact anyone to make them aware that their pets were in the extreme cold.

They don't care beyond having you sign a lease. Just be prepared for that.
