I lived here from the winter until the fall of 2006. I ALWAYS paid my rent but due to a temporary job loss, I did pay rent late on three occasions, sometimes up to 10-days late. BUT I PAID IT!! RMK took me to court and asked that I move out within 30-days. The apartments and the views are amazing for the money, but I will never rent from anywhere RMK manages again, and I know of several dozen former tenants that won't rent with them either. They're gaining a bad reputation from what I understand! The manager (Holly) REFUSED to take my calls or see me when I stopped by the office. The bookeeper turned into a huge ----- whenever I asked a simple question. Bring back Charles Smith!!

Sounds like YOU'RE the one with the bad reputation here, buddy. You pay your rent late THREE TIMES within a 9-month period, and you expect them to treat you nicely? You complain that the manager refused to take your calls. Why on Earth do you need to call the manager for--to tell her you'll be late again? I wouldn't want to hear your excuses either. You write that you'll "...never rent from...RMK...again..." With your payment history, you'll be lucky to get a residential lease from any professionally managed property anywhere in Chicago, let alone RMK or Charles Smith management companies.
