They could do better...

Perhaps the biggest problem with this building is that it is old and ill maintained. The windows are an energy nightmare from the '70s and the weatherstripping is shot and hasn't been replaced. The air conditioning is inadequate... I cannot get my apartment down to 72 degrees for the life of me and the energy costs are high because of the poor windows. The carpeted floors in the hallways are filthy and the last time they were shampooed was two and a half months ago. The common areas outside, however, are beautiful and kept up nicely, as is the pool. My impression is that the owners of the building would like to get as much money out of it without having to reinvest in some very needed rehabilitation.
