This was once a beautiful building with efficient and kind management who really cared about the building and the tenants. Now it is a disaster. don't let the new cosmetics and updated appliances fool you. This is what it is really like since new management took over: 1. After telling tenants a year ago that corporate apartments would be phased out - management promptly contracted 150 units to Oakwood, who rents the units as hotel rooms by the weekend, week, and month to conventioneers and others from all over the world. Management also works with another company to "rent" 70 apartments as dormitory rooms to students at local schools and colleges. THIS IS NO LONGER A RESIDENTIAL BUILDING. 2. Security has been decreased to the point that if you have a problem with strangers wandering around the hall in the middle of the night - the "rent-a-cop" at the front desk will tell you he can't leave his post because he is the only one on duty. 3. The plumbing and various internal structures of the building have not been cleaned, repaired properly or replaced. If you don't like to cook with tap water, or you never take a bath or shower - you will love it here. The water is a lovely deep orange and filled with chunks of sediment and debris. 4. The elevators are either broken or out-of-service, or reserved during those times that the dorm students are arriving with their parents. 5. The building manager generally hides in her office, never returns phone calls and seems scared of her boss and the anonymous Executive Committee that makes all decisions for her. 6. Oh, yes - the views. The gorgeous views of the park and lake from the most expensive units on the south side of the building are going to be completely blocked in the coming year by a new highrise the current owners plan to build. I figure that also means another two years of banging, drilling, plaster falling from the ceilings and the various other inconveniences the tenants of this building have been facing for the past two-plus years.
Like I said - this building has become a terrible place to live!

dude- if you want to control all units- you can probably work out a deal where you can rent them all. in america we usually don't hate people because they are different. anyways the you probably hate me too because i talk on the elevator and am polite on the elvator which works. maybe you should get a cold drink.
