I have lived here for nearly five years and I have put up with their crap long enough. Before BJB took possession of this place, the Doral (as is was formally known) was a great place to live. Ever since BJB took over, they have slowly but surely taken away the amenities and services they say they will provide while renting. Storage was provided here at one point, but now no longer. They want to use that space for some BJB master plan that never comes to fruition. Now I have to pay $55.00 per month to store my items close by. They NEVER compensated the tenants for this. Their rental agreements are vague for a reason and if you do rent here ITEMIZE everything you believe is included in your rent, because guaranteed they will go back on their word.
Cleaners come by now when you request them. I had garbage in my hallway (carpeted area) for about a week. When I called to find out why it was still there, I was told the place gets vacuumed now only when requested! What!' They say they provide cable. Well they provide a satellite service which is blurred or cuts out when the weather gets bad. I can't tell you how many times I have watched a movie or a sports game only for it to break up or loose the picture halfway in between. I have given up at this point. The gym equipment is sticky. It definitely does not get fully cleaned. There is dust accumulation on the treadmills which has been there for over a month now.
Why they are running this place down into the ground I do not know.
There is nothing here but a so so pool, gym and great door staff. Below the grocery store, bar and restaurant have all been terminated due to BJB's master plan to construct in the little available land there. Their sidewalks are all broken and are quite dangerous. They have sheets of metal drilled in the concrete to fill the holes in the sidewalk. Rigging at it's best is what goes on in this place.
I would not move here in a heartbeat. If you do decide this is the place for you, then be prepared for noise pending. You definitely could find better. Management and BJB needs to get their act together. Word of mouth is everything!

I've heard many bad reviews of this place, but this is the worst. Besides the doormen, I don't hear anything good about this place. I feel sorry as I used to rent in Onterie Center years ago and I was kind of a bad neighbor, I made the hallway smell like smoke and the dentist neighbor of mine got a new girlfriend who couldn't stand it and so they moved to Doral - after spending several thousands of dollars on upgrades of their unit at Onterie Center! I'm sure I'm not the only reason they moved to Doral, but I do sincerely hope they are not still living there, I'm sure the old place Onterie Center was better... I liked it there. By the way, we own now, but we lived in a couple other rental building I also liked... 440 N. Wabash (now converted to condos) and North Harbor Tower, both great places, not at all like what you describe there...

BJB has always been good landlords (I've lived in two of thier other buildings). On the other hand- their management of 151 Michigan sucks! Its that nasty property manager Terry or whatever the devils name was.

Well if BJB was good at what they do, then they should not let management treat tenants and their property like this. Both are responsible and let's not forget, BJB drafts up your rental contract not management. Try and call BJB and see where you get. NOWHERE!
