I am really going to miss this place....

After 3 and some years in Chicago I finally have to move away but not before I have been firmly convinced that this is the greatest city to live in in the country. Near the top of the very long list of reasons I shall miss Chicago is my apartment at NHT.
Pros -
1. Best concierge/doorman service I have ever seen at an apartment (even some 5 star hotels could do worse)
2. Location - it is close to everything in the loop yet manages to be fairly quiet. It is very nearly one of the best locations in chicago between the park and the lake.
3. The management is actually fairly decent (I cant believe I just typed that)
4. There is a great little grocery store in the basement and a much larger one in that of the neighboring building.
5. The fitness club and pool are well maintained.
6. Reasonable prices.
Cons -
1. Nearest subway stop is 0.5 miles away. The building is connected by a regular bus line (60) and of course the concierge will get you a cab anytime of the day or night. There is a dedicated cab stand for the building.
2. No pets
3. Expensive regular parking
4. The nearest restaurant is 4 blocks away and for one open after 6 you need to go to michigan ave.
5. It would have been nice to have a washer/dryer in unit.
6. Location makes it very windy in the winters.
My call - Its hard to beat it for the price. I found the location great and did not miss the subway. I actually found that having to walk a few blocks for some junk food left me in better shape! The concierge service is unbeatable and should I ever be lucky enough to live in Chicago again, I would gladly stay here again.

There are a couple places -- Cafe Rom in the Shoreham and Seven @ Outer Drive East (400 East Randolph).
