One East Delaware
< | >
My husband and I have been living in this building for about 2.5 years. We originally moved in when Archstone was managing the building. We can both honestly say that things, including the speed of new elevator installations, have improved. The location is great, can't beat having a grocery store in the base of the building. However, we will not be renewing our lease in a couple of months. For starters, the rent went up $100 a month when we renewed last year, and it will be going up $60 more if we renew. We feel that we can get a bigger place for that amount of money a little further from the loop. I have no idea about parking here, because we don't own a car. The things we hate most about this apartment are uncontrollable by the management company. You can hear a LOT of street level noise in our apartment, and we live on the 24th floor. There is construction going on everywhere, including across the street, so this of course adds to all of the noise pollution. It's not deafeningly loud, but it is annoying, especially when you feel like opening up the windows.
