UNSAFE!!! Beware

This is a great building. My biggest praise would have to be the cleanliness and grounds of the building. I swear whether it's 6am, 8pm, or 1am you always see something cleaning. Everyday there is someone cleaning the grout out of the elevator creases. The building truly looks as good today, as the day I moved in.

Staff is great. Front Desk staff hasn't changed in two years, they are very accomodating and friendly. Some get attitudes on occasion, but for the most part they are great. Building management is very good and are quick to resolve problems.

Downside is that the location is still developing, so there are no grocery stores nearby, only a couple overpriced markets. Firestation across the street is the biggest downside. You adjust to the noise, but if you are on a low floor, and on the northside of the building it can be a nuisance.

Now for the real problem: I don't want you to think that I'm just on here to trash this building. I have lived here for almost two years, and my overall experience has been positive. However in July 2004 my apartment was broken into. I was supposedly the 9th in two months. And another happened three days after mine. The building isn't doing anything except "cooperating with the police." They refuse to put in additional security measures except a rent-an-oldman from 8-4pm M-F. That's their idea of security. They let me out of my lease, and several residents are suing the building for gross negligence. No burglaries have had forced entry and it is believed this is an inside job. Until they resolve their internal problem I DO NOT recommend living here. And I personally have broken my lease and moved out.
