I have mold in my apartment but I don't know exactly where. It was probably here the whole time, but I didn't notice any smell the about the first six months I was here.
I'm sure the management did something just to temporarily cover it up. Their cover is blown now, but I can't see where it's coming from. Probably in the kitchen behind the fridge or stove. I've called a few times to complain, but they said it was my problem. They said it's not a ciy code violation unless I also have bad leaks or a broken pipe.
I'm not the only one here with this problem. I read the other reviews right before posting this and that musty mold smell is present in many places throughout this complex. This stuff can be deadly but the management doesn't care. I wouldn't recommend this dump to anybody.

In my apartment I noticed the smell long before actually finding the mold. Shoddy contracting on my balcony was the cause at my place. But from what you're saying it sounds like they used a cheap disinfectant like bleach to temporarily remove mold that was already there, instead of having it remediated professionally. Then they painted over it. It's probably on one of your walls. Wonderful management.
