I really enjoyed my years at Presidential Towers until the new management took over. The lobby is now filled with a white elephant eyesore they call a fountain, and drywall hides empty but once lively and enjoyable restaurants. Maintenance is no where what it once was, and the general atmosphere in the lobby is that of an empty strip mall.
Various charges have been tacked on the basic rent, inflating it. For instance, the building no longer picks up any utilities. Charges are being passed on to tenants on a pro rata basis. The tenant/apartment ratio is not monitored, not enough anyway. I think up to 8-10 people live in the apartment across the hall. As someone else opined, it is much like a dorm.
I will be very relieved to move out.
