Life at PT was great when I started living here in 2007. It's still good but not great anymore for me.
I will briefly mention the pros and cons about PT in my opinion.
Pros:
1. Great Location(west loop), amazing connectivity by public transport, very close to metra/amtrak stations, walgreens/dominics/cvs are just few blocks away.
2. Really good in house grocery store(PT market). You have McDonalds and a Thai restaurant in the complex. Plus a lot of good restaurants in the area.
3. The health club is great as well. It has running tracks/basketball court/pool but comes with a membership fee.
4. Maintenance is quick and prompt. They usually take care of the requests the same day and do it professionally(never left any dust or dirt behind).
5. One great thing about this place is that the all the 4 towers are interconnected by a closed walkway (like 2-blocks in length). And I loved taking a stroll in my pajamas even in the middle of the winters :)

Cons:
1. Rules, Rules, Rules
If you hate them, then this is the not the place for you. You see that is what has made me decide to leave this place. They have a big list of Do s and Dont s. One hot issue these days is the beefed up security ,which might be good in some sense but at times is a a real pain. A lot of such rules have made PT from Great to Good.

Um, have you noticed the massive increase in fees since 2007? How about the way the walkways are in disrepair now? I think most of the residents can handle rules, but we have a problem with being treated very rudely by management and making our guests waiting in really long lines every time.

2. Really good in house grocery store(PT market).------------------------ Are you aware that they are planning on remodeling the lobby and removing access to the shops and grocery store? You will then need to go outside and around the corner just to come back into the same building.
