Pros: good location for Hyde Park, spectacular views, well-maintained apartments, the most awesome front desk crew in the history of mankind, a responsive (if a bit bureaucratic) management team, excellent noise insulation, many in-house businesses (gym, mini-mart, Terrace Grill, dry cleaning/jewelery shop, coffee shop, barber shop) make up for the absence of these things from Hyde Park, safer than living in a bank vault, garden between the two towers is immaculate.
Cons: The most common complaint is the expense. Yes, it's pricey (for Hyde Park)... but there are many other options nearby! You get what you pay for. Also A/C can't keep the rooms 72 F in the summer if you have south-facing windows. Also the cable internet is abysmally slow (about on par with dialup in speed tests) and sometimes unreliable. And it is not very pet-friendly.
On the whole this is a very well-managed building. I wish I could bring it back to the east coast with me, along with the rent (high for Chicago, cheap for NY area) and the view.

It's hardly well insulated between the apartments... I repeatedly heard my next door neighbor at all hours of the night doing unmentionable activities that I did not care to hear. If you're not hearing anything, you either have quiet neighbors or no neighbors.
