I lived in a 1br, 1ba in River West Lofts for 3 years.
Positives
Units have new kitchens, carpeting, bathrooms
Views are good from many units
Quiet at night
Affordable and good restaurants/bars nearby (sushi X, Thalia, DeLux)
Exercise room is adequate
Maintenance guys are helpful and responsive
Negatives
Units are a little bit expensive, esp given the current renting climate
You can hear your neighbors at times
