Buildings are going condo, renters don't get much respect.

The buildings went condo in 1978. Renters have the same rights and responsibilities as resident owners. You cannt fault any of the building managers, or the board of directors if you don't have a good tenant/landlord relationship. That's between you and the owner of the condo you are renting.
