I have lived in a number of cities over my professional career and love this place. The building staff are very friendly and helpful. Any issue that has come up, they have quickly addressed. Normally, I would not take the time to post something like this but this place is that good. Also, just about anything going on in Chicago is at this buildings doorstep! I have a real problem with noise and this building is well made. In fact, my next door neighbors have an infant and I don't hear anything!! Pass this place up and you're really going to miss out.

I have to disagree with the building not being noisy. I lived here and the noise problems were bad...really bad. It's not that neighbor were particularly noisy. This wasn't the case at all (I lived on a penthouse floor). The problem was that sound carried very easily from unit to unit through the corrider. There was literlly no sound insulation between the corridor and apartments due to the way the ventilation system was set up (fresh air was drawn into the units through a large gap underneath the front door). This resulted in apartment sounds carrying from unit to corridor and then back into other units very easily. Hallway noises such as people talking, walking, etc. also carried into apartments as if there was no door at all. Any dogs barking immediately permeated throughout the hallway and into other units.

Any good reviews of this place are being done by the management or friends of the management. One only has to check out "neulandlord.com" to see what people REALLY think about Forest City. They are the worst rated landlords in the country! And, pictures don't lie. Check out these two websites.
