Not for anyone who's left college behind

This building is, for all intents and purposes, one big dormitory. I signed my lease one week before College Park Apartments bought the building, and nobody told me of the switch until I pulled up with my furniture and found herds of college kids being moved in by mom and dad.
The building itself is fine. The elevators can be a little unreliable, but these things happen. Walls are relatively solid, nothing in the apartment has broken so far. Closet space can be an issue, since the apartment comes with very little of it.
The biggest problem with the living experience has been the students. The kids get drunk and throw things out the window at the parked cars - my car has been the recipient of eggs, cigarette butts, hamburger buns, yogurt cups...well, you get the idea. I've been woken up in the dead of night by the neighbors (students on both sides, and across the hall) throwing parties and playing loud music. There was a drug bust in the building in November involving one of the students. Living here has been hellish, if for no reason other than the fact that the neighbors are inescapable. Management has been polite but completely ineffective. There are about three RAs for a building that is literally 80% students.
I don't mean to sound like a curmudgeon - at 20-something, I'm not too far removed from school myself. And there's nothing wrong with students being kids in college and having fun, but that doesn't mean I have to like living with them. Management cannot legally tell you that this building is mostly student housing - at least that's what they told me. But unless you enjoy drunk kids pounding on your door on Tuesday nights, don't let them fool you.
