The great:
Location, location, location! Close to Dominicks, Blockbuster, Jewel, shops, malls, gas stations, easy access to IL-83, I-55, I-355, I-88 and I-294.
HUGE porches and bathroom.
BEAUTIFUL grounds, well kept, clean, well lit and safe. (Left my car door OPEN all night, no one touched anything, not even my $400 stereo).

The good:
The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable, willing to help with problems.
Apartments are nice sized (mine was 921 sq. ft.), clean and quiet.
Neighbors are mostly young couples, no gang-bangers partying here.
Forced-air heat and central air, dishwasher, newer appliances.
Charcoal grills allowed.

The bad:
Maintenance is not great. My carpets were never cleaned as promised (should have gotten it in writing).
Took them a year to replace the tile in my kitchen which was peeling up in front of the stove.
Still haven't gotten the endcaps on my counter fixed.
My refinished tub's finish started peeling off again.
Doors on our building tended to not close all the way.
The pilot light on my furnace kept going out, usually when it was about 10 degrees outside, had to relight it two or three times a week sometimes.
Closet space not as much as you'd think.
Poor drywall, trim and paint work. Def'n not the kind of work I'd expect to see in an apartment complex this nice.

The ugly:
Nothing ugly here!

Summary:
Excellent apartments, especially after seeing some of the ones over in Westmont. Worth it if you can justify spending nearly $1000/mo on a one bedroom with a den with convient access to everything. I want a house, so cheaper rent and crappier apartments, here I come!
