Have lived in two different units. Having a Private entrances (patio and balcony) and central heat/air are attributes in addition to the central in- town location. Walking three blocks to train/stores. Also next to municipal complex so streets get plowed first in winter. Some apartments are dated but the layouts are great especially if you can get one of the split level 2 bedroom units with fireplace. No pool. Coin Laundry facilities and some garages. There is a good mix of ages/ethnicities here. I have no maintainence problem that hasn't been quickly resolved. Buildings are brick built in the 60's, so only noise problem comes from above/below; never from sides so you minimize chance of a noisy neighbor. Insulation good and the gas heat is included in the rent. 2 bedroom units have a dishwasher but no microwave. They are cable wired. Grounds have open landscaped areas for children to play and parking is close to units. Having looked at the other alternatives in CL, this complex was the best value for me.
