I'm moving out of SVPM's Jackson Court Apartments soon, and am looking forward to it. The noise level is ridiculous. I have a drug dealer that lives across from me, and a large couple upstairs that insists on having sex and screaming obscinities day & night. Its not the "safe" community they proclaim it to be...my car winsheild got broken out during the night too. When I complained about any of the noise or safety issues, nothing ever changed. In addition, after the town got hit w/a huge storm there were shrubs & trees all over and a light that got knocked over that didn't get removed until months later. There is always broken glass on the sidewalk leading to the mailboxes and apartments. Maitanence is such a joke here. They come, but I don't know what they do most of the time. Once when my sink was leaking gross black gunk I called them. They came into my apartment while I was at work...they fixed the sink but in the process threw my personal items everywhere and actually used my own bath towel to clean the pipes & black gunk off, and then threw that on the bathroom floor! The towel was ruined, when I called to report the problem the landlord told me I would be reimbursed for the price of my bath towel...that never happened. Another time maitanence was here, again while I was at work...get this...when I walked in the door I found him enjoying a long and smelly break in my bathroom, after which he did not spray either! David Barney, the landlord, is some kid whose dad retired from SVPM & gave it to him. Hes so unprofessional & rude. He talks to my neighbors about me & other tenants like hes some crooked spy. Also, even though they say that the orkin man comes to spray once a month I still get tons of ants. I have heard from other people that they had similar problems with SVPM, and also that they are not too honest about returning deposits, even if you were a good, clean tenent. Another rental company that I talked to while looking for a new apartment told me that SVPM is going bankrupt & selling their apartment complexes. I'm not sure if it's true, but I wouldn't discount it. The rent is cheap & the inside of the apartments is better than some(meaning the walls are still up & the carpet is decent, lol), but after you get your foot in the door you will see that its just awful.
