This place actually tried to incrase our rent half way through our lease agreement.
They told me there was a clause in our lease that stated they could but the copy I
have does not mention it anywhere. I even had an attorney look at it and he said there was no provision that would allow them to raise rent when you are under a lease. When I called the manager she was
defensive and said she would have to check with the owners. For a woman who has managed apartments for 30 years, it should
be basic knowledge you cannot raise rent when you sign a lease and there is no provision in the lease about rent changes. I personally think the owner is trying to take advantage of the tenants knowing most
people will not follow through with a phone
call to the office about the increase.
I had good feelings about this place but
management is out of touch and needs to be
brought into the new century. The place is
managed like its still the '70's.
