My one-bedroom apartment in Fox Pointe was a pretty good deal for the money. My primary complaint about the place is that the walls and ceilings are paper-thin, so there's very little sense of privacy. I could hear VERY clearly what was going on in the apartment above me and it drove me crazy, especially when I had to listen to what was going on in their bedroom every night! The carpet was a horrible dark brown, but that comes with the territory of renting.
Parking was good. The maintenance staff was always prompt. I must say that the location is great--it's so close to John Deere Road and Avenue of the Cities that pretty much everything I needed was no more than 5-10 minutes away.
In general, it's not a bad place to live, especially if you're a student or are just starting out and need an inexpensive place. But you get what you pay for and not much more.
