I toured two apartments there quite recently and they were not in move-in condition. By the way, I had previously lived in an upscale environment that I didn't feel was upscale so I was shocked when I was shown this mess.

The apartments weren't clean! They didn't smell clean, very, very poor paint job, no caulking was done, bathroom linoleum was coming up from between the tub and toliet due to a water leak at some point, etc.

The hallway smelled bad and needed to be cleaned, painted, etc. When I left there, I wanted to take a shower or spray myself with Lysol. By the way, I was actually embarassed for the leasing agent.

The on-site manager may not be keeping corporate up-to-date or maybe corporate doesen't care about the property, period.

If corporate wants to see a top notch revnovated 1970 building with 460 units with a VERY professional staff and maintenance staff, checkout Briarwood Terrace in Prospect Heights, IL (a Chicago surburb near the North Shore). By the way Corporate, you may fly your jet in to Palwaukee Airport, Wheeling, Illinois two miles away from the complex for your visit.

Your first problem coming from an upscale place was to go to the cheapest apartment complex in town. What do you think you get for the money!

Candiejayne, because it is a low income apartment complex, as most are in this area because of the salaries and wages, DOESN'T excuse the lack of care by management. These low income complexes are receiving tax credits from the government. Unfortunately, the majority of the nicer apartments seem to be in Iowa.
