my wife and i lived in a one bedroom for a year before moving into our current 2 bedroom. the one bedroom was fine, nothing to get too upset about. However, our two bedroom is completely different. It started when we realized one of the people in our building was obviously a drug dealer. If you ever saw the same person at his door twice it was the cops. then we started hearing animals digging around in our wall. When maintenance was called they said they were NOT going to fix the entry hole until it got warmer outside or a contractor was called. THIS WAS IN JANUARY! It is now the middle of March and the hole still exists. One afternoon the neighbor comes up and tells us our dog is digging holes in her ceiling. We don't have a dog, it was whatever rodent(s) are living in our ceiling. The management's response was that there was nothing they could do about it, because it is against the law to trap them. '''' One weekend we have the drug dealer and his buddy moving out between 11pm and 1am on a wednesday night. the next weekend another GROUP moves in on our floor at 9:30pm on a thursday night. The cops took care of it. Here's the kicker, we were told the animals were squirrels, then the other night we go out on our balcony for a smoke, look over, and there's about a twenty pound raccoon stairing at us. scared all hell out of me. when management was confronted about that issue they said "oh yeah, we've had problems with animals as long as i can remember. Maybe you should call Animal Control." Why do I pay rent'' Needless to say, It's cheap here, but you get what you pay for.
