We've lived at 2 different appartments in the last 5 years at fox pointe so this is my experiences with both.
Most Apartments around town are "low income" apartments and you are not allowed to live there if you make more than $28k for 2 people. Fox Pointe and Homewood Manner are the only 2 places i've found so far that do not have that income cap. Homewood manner is a bit more pricey at $675 for a 1 bedroom where as you can pay as little as $555 for a large 2 bedroom at Fox Pointe.... HOWEVER.....
Fox Point does have lots of issues... we lived in a 1 bedroom before switching to the 2 bedroom. Our storage unit for the 1 bedroom was a cheap cubby with a plywood door that was broken into and busted with a crowbar (picture a plywood kitchen cabinet) the older apartments do not have central air and the AC has to run constantly to keep the apartment below 80 degrees plus it freezes up alot so you could go a whole day without it at all in the summmertime while it's coils are defrosting.... The 2 bedroom units are definitely roomier with more storage and dishwashers but the dishwashers are very outdated and dont do a good job, your better off washing by hand. We are constantly throwing breakers because of using too much power. My husband cant have the lights on and be on the computer while i vaccume unless i run the vaccume all the way from the other side of the house on an extension cord. Which is doable but annoying. The windows in the 2 bedroom we are in now leak horribly and make it very hard to heat in the winter time... Also they condensate and A LOT of water will build up on the window seal within 24 hours. I went out of town for 4 days and came back to bubbled up paint on my walls that were water stained with mildew all over the wall and windowseal. If you go out of town for more than a day you might want someone to go by and dry off your windowseals for you each day you are gone. We have never had a problem with maitenance or noise since living in the secure buildings. But occasionally our water does turn brown, seemingly from rust or lime build up, maitenance is pretty good about fixing it when you mention it to them but, i recommend drinking bottled water just in case if it is a problem in your unit. On a side note, I've never had a problem with maitenance or management in the 5 years we've lived here. Last winter there was some issues with the parking lot being snow plowed but that was problems with the company hired by the main office and was not reflective of on site management.
Oh and pet deposits are one thing but be prepared for your rent to go up $50 each month that you have a pet in your unit. They really stick it to you on pets.
