I choice to live at Blackhawk because of my dog. They accept dogs of any size. I signed a 12 month lease. I noticed dirt in my bath tub. It took me over 2 months to actually see that my neighbors tub water was backing up into my tub. I called and complained and had plumbers out. I have a hair drain over the drain to catch hair, I was told that the neighbors water was being backed up into my tub because of my hair in the drain. I contacted the city of Elgin Health Department and they can't do anything unless they physically see it, when its happening. I have to have a 5 x 8 under the stove to keep it level, it sticks out. They show nicer apartments then you get. I found a house that I am now buying and I called to ask the cancelation fee and they told me 2 months on top of the 2 months of rent for the notice. When I went in to fill out my notice, I was then told there would be another $500 fee. Don't rent here. It is disgusting and you can hear through the walls. In the winter the window leak cold air. Hard to keep the apartment warm.

I don't understanding why you are complaining. The staff is very clear about explaining the lease and policies. They make us sign accepting and understanding the rules and regulations. It's not their fault that you went out to purchase a house while under a legal contract.
