I would never in a million years recommend that someone live here!!!

The first six months were ok, and the office staff was nice. Even though we had some minor issues we just took care of them ourselves because we did not want to complain.

It seemed like everyone in our building was moving out which at fist I thought was going to be nice, until the druggies moved in across the way. My husband worked nights, and I was terrified when I was alone. I have a major in criminal justice so me being scared says a lot. After several violent fights across the hall and what sounded like a shooting (with screaming) we were sick of the cops not doing anything, so we went to see if we could switch our apartments, they would not let us without signing a 16 MONTH LEASE!! I have heard people say that Tracy was so nice but she was our worst enemy because we were not scared to stand up to her

Since then we have complained SEVERAL times, with no response. The office staff is now very rude, and we still feel very unsafe and are counting down the days until our lease runs up.

The apartment smells SO bad that I have moved most of our stuff to my sisters house because I was sick of smelling like our apartment whenever I left the house.

To end it, today my husband got a sticker on his car saying that if it was not moved in 24 hours they were going to tow it!!!! WE LIVE THERE!! So I called to see what was up and the lady said well he shouldn t park in the same spot all the time It just happens that 9 times out of 10 the spot closest to our apartment is open, so they want to tow his car!!!

In the winter they DO NOT SHOVEL OR PLOW!!! AT ALL!!

1st of all if you have a major in criminal justice you should have known what kind of town elgin is!!! 2nd of all if your husband got a sticker on his car A: he had an expired sticker on his plates or B: he was parked in the fire lane!! grow up and stop your crying!!

TRACY is the worst of tthem all i have gotten into countless times with here and still nothing got through. she was mean to me and very rude even the first time i went to talk to her, but the one thing that really upset me was when she walked through my apartment with out my consent and tried to say things not to her liking!

I do have a major in Criminal justice, and I LOVE Elgin! I hate to break it to you but one of the few bad ares are your apt. buildings! And just for the record he was not in a fire lane...and did not have expired plates. THANKS for the suggestion though=) I also think it's funny that all the employees respond. One of my good friends works at hunters ridge ( she hates it too!) and said they do it because they are trying to sell the buildings and they can't sell them because they have nothing but bad reveiws!

yeah I have noticed that there are more bad reviews on here, I wish these reviews were up before my husband and i moved in because we would of not moved here. There was hardly and bad reviews when we moved in a year ago but we have even neighbors that ask us if certain things happen in our apartment because the apartments do stink and i think it is because of the water. If workers are responding to these that is really funny because they are being cowards for not leaving their names because that is showing possible renters that this place is fishy, lol it smells like fish too
