I'd give it a B

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
Parking - never had to park more than 75 meters away from my apartment - 95% of the time I am within 10 meters of our apartment.
Noise - not so hot....you can hear the neighbors very easily, if people are arguing and shouting at each other in neighboring apartments it is easy to hear, if people are playing music, it is easy to hear, if someone is walking in the building, you know it.
Grounds - when it rains, the complex turns into a swamp - compounding this problem is the fact that ice/snow removal is shoddy at best. The complex stays quite snowy during snowfall due to poor snow removal. If I did not have a job that allows me to telecommute this would be a more significant problem.
Safety - I never personally saw anything bad happen to anyone but there have been a couple instances where I saw people trying to break into cars. I have heard stories from other women on the complex which I cannot verify as true or false about men sexually harassing them. I never saw nor participated in this.
Construction - poor insulation - you do not notice this until the winter and when winter comes you will need to put plastic over your windows.
Maintanence - we had to have them come out to the apartment fairly frequently....but they were good about coming and prompt about coming.
Staff - As long as you talk to them like an adult and be upfront and honest about your situation they are responsive to your needs, willing to negotiate and very fair about the vast majority of situations. I have no qualms about the staff and the staff will be one of the things I miss.
Reason for moving:
The primary reason we are moving is that my wife is unhappy here - I myself have no complaints that are serious. The secondary reason is so that I can be closer to my work which is in Schaumburg.
If this was located closer to my job I would probably be better with it. For the money, it is tough to find a better value - they do give you ample size for your money (2 bdroom for $875) and give you alot with it - dishwasher, in unit washer/dryer and solid workout facilities. If this place is reasonably close to your job, I would definitely say to at least check it out.
