This neighborhood is full of great people. The kids are nice and the management is quick to respond to any maintenance request. I have a two bedroom and I like that the bedrooms are located on the top floor and the kitchen is seperate from the living room. The apartment manager and leasing consultants are really nice. I'm glad I moved here to get to know this neighborhood. Don't let anyone tell you it's a ghetto or not a nice neighborhood. They are ignorant and thinking of the how this area was six years ago.
That said the construction is very bad. The floor creaks like crazy and you can hear normal conversations that your neighbors are having in the next apartment. And being close to Elgin High School there's loud music playing often in apartments next door and in cars driving or parked outside. It's close to a grocery store but over 5 miles away from a discount store.
The ads say there's designer baths. What designer baths' Just your basic baths with cheap features. The full basement is a grey concrete hole with washer and dryer hookups. You can't live in it so it's basically an enormous storage area.
One more thing, if you don't mind millions of kids (they're all wonderful, great kids) all over the place you're ok.
