Going into my 3rd month

Overall, pretty satisfied with this place. It's quiet, you can't beat the price in the Chicago suburbs. The staff has been really responsive when I've had problems with my unit. They haven't given me the solutions I wanted, but they did fix my problems, so I can't really complain.
It's within walking distance to 2 major grocery stores, a water park, a forest preserve, a high school, a junior high, and an elementary school, so if you have a family, this may be a good choice for you. The hallways are dark and not the cleanest, but I don't really spend much time in my hallway and neither will you. My unit came with new carpeting and a fresh coat of paint.
Only gripe so far: today they laid a new coat on our parking lot. They only gave us notice the NIGHT before in the form of a note tucked on the door handle. Cars were towed this morning. If you were out of town, or if you were in your apartment all day you would not know.
Other things: awesome walk-in closet, free A/C. Free random parking. Nice place, its quiet I never hear my neighbors, its cheap and Elk Grove is a nice town.
Tip for new renters: By the time I signed my lease, the rent on my unit had gone down by about $50. The prices change daily, going up and down by how many units they have available, check them out on the homeproperties Web site. You can start renting up to a month after you book a unit, so wait until it's a good price.
