Worst Ever - don't believe those good reviews

I just read the good reviews - must have been written by staff. Here's the real truth about our experience: I have never been so horrified with an apartment. We live in building 1029 on the 3rd floor. We rented the apartment over the internet - BAD IDEA! When we got to this state and saw what we signed a 1 year lease on we were so upset. We are renting a "newly remodled" apartment. I'd hate to see what the others look like. Our bathroom has gold and white tiles kind of like the 70's. The sinks and tub are plastic. Spiders galore in this place. Certainly not remodeled. Tons of kids play along the steps and in the halls. Kids are everywhere and play anywhere they want. The apartment managers send out tons of flyers about the kids but they really aren't that concerned about doing anything about it. They give you a card to get in the door but people keep it propted open anyway. People always call at all hours of the night for you to let them in the front door. Here are things that happened the first few months we lived here: 1. Kids set off the fire alarm in the middle of the night. This happened several nights in a row. It still continues, but only a couple of times a month. 2. There were drunk people passed out in our elevator 3. The elevator never works. It smells of urine. Kids always scratch graffiti in it and people are always burning the walls. 4. There was blood all over the elevator buttons. We no longer use our fingers to push any of the buttons. 4. Has to be section 8 - no need to elaborate. 5. The hallways stink of strange foods and sometimes urine. 6. A guy parked in my underground parking space and I reported it to the office. They suggested that I a woman go to this mans apartment and take care of it myself. 7. The lights haven't been working in the garage - it took my husband who is a federal officer 4 visits to the office to get this done. 8. Officer hours are horrible and they really do nothing to help. They expect you to take care of your own problems.
I strongly advise NOT moving here. Pay the extra $200 to get something nicer.
