It's been fine...

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
First, the reason I moved here was because I wanted something CHEAP, but not HORRIBLE. I was moving from the city, and I wanted to save a lot of money so I could buy something within a couple of years. This is year two, overall, it's been a good experience (especiallyc compared to what I dealt with in the city!)
I've never seen a spider...not to say that the others are exagerating, I just haven't seen one living on the 4th floor.
Yes, it's noisy with the windows open and 290 right there, but *I* chose to live here. Not their fault.
The apartments are EXTREMELY QUIET!!! Concrete construction means that I hardly ever hear a neighbor.
Only once has my elevator at 1027 been down. We don't have a kid problem.
When I moved in, I went to get my keys, went to the building, was horrified at what I saw! It smelled like urine and when I walked into my apartment, it was nasty! Luckily for me, it was the wrong model, so I was changed to a new apartment in another building. Obviously this one had been renovated, I had new carpets and everything was fresh. If I had been stuck in that other, I would have been miserable and would not have made it a full year. If you move in, make sure you get to see YOUR BUILDING...not just the model.
It's a good money saver, I love the underground parking, the land is nice, and new management seems to care a bit more. They changed hours so they are open until 6 which helps w/laundry cards, and there haven't been as many random hour changes. So, if you're looking for somewhere decent at not a lot of money, this is a good place. Just make sure you have a renovated building.
