Apartments falling apart.

When I first moved in, I was fairly happy with the place for the money. After a few months, however, this was not the case. It is incredibly noisy - with firetrucks and ambulances going down the street (Main St.) on a fairly regular basis at night.
Half of my electrical sockets did not work, and were never fixed. The bathroom and bedroom door did not close, and the kitchen door closed, but then could not be reopened (I was locked in several times). Some rooms have no light fixtures in them at all. The water pressure was horrific, and the shower had the cheapest showerhead made of metal-look plastic. The bath had also been recovered with some kind of acrylic which began peeling off quickly (and was again, never fixed, despite telling the management). Ants were also a recurring problem that was only fixed after asking five or six times. Management feigns concern, then does nothing (or fixes it, but the problem returns as it is not fixed properly).
The hallways are dark and dingy, and a lot of the back doors do not lock properly, so the building is not secure. In the summer, the doors in the apartment swelled so much that I could not get out of my apartment.
Overall, a horrible experience. Don't bother.
