Manipulative and Uncooperative management

I've had several issues with the Park Evanston.
1. The sales woman who worked with me on my contract (Jill) was deceptive. She refused to let us see the apartment before we signed a contract and pressured us by insisting that if we didn't sign now it would be gone the next day (in retrospect, I'm 95% sure this was a complete lie). As it turns out, our unit sits directly in front of a grocery store parking lot - so everyone can see in our place when the windows are open. Plus, the back of our unit is right above the grocery store delivery bay. The delivery guys unload at 5am every morning and are insanely noisy. Wakes us up and drives us crazy. BEWARE THE NOISE.
2. The UNITS ARE NOT NICE at all. The lobby is great, but the units themselves are something I would expect at half the price.
3. Management was highly manipulative when our contract was expiring and we were getting ready to move out. They lied to us to try to get us to move out before our contract actually ended. Then, after we'd make firm plans to move out early, they came back and told us we had made a mistake and that we were responsible for paying several extra weeks of rent after we moved. Extremely frustrating. Management certainly DOES NOT TREAT TENANTS LIKE CUSTOMERS and will squeeze everything they can out of you.

This has not been our experience. The staff has been great. Our views of the lake are superb. Our apartment is extremely quiet. Anything we want done gets taken care of immediately, whether it's new carpets, carpet cleaning, new dishwasher, or new tile in the kitchen. We've lived hear for 9 years and have no plans to move.
