Like others, we too were attracted to the neighborhood and the size of the apartments. We rented a two bedroom/two bath on the upper floor that overlooked the common area. With a free month's rent spread over the lease we paid $818/month. Not bad given comparable rents in the area. These are 30 year old apartments, so the complaints in other reviews about old cabinets are simply unwarranted. If you want new cabinets, go rent at AMLI for $1,500/month. Initially we had to complain about cat pee in the carpets, but we were given all new carpeting in the main room within a week. However, this was a hassle since we had already moved our stuff in and had to move it out for the installation. Overall our time there was fairly pleasant. We still miss the mature trees and open space behind the apartments. It was the deplorable treatment we were given when leaving that detracts from this complex. We were charged about $300 of our deposit for things like "not cleaning out the fireplace" (it's a GAS fireplace for crying out loud) and for not cleaning the air conditioner (it's 30 years old and sucks more juice in one month than our central air in our new home did all Summer)... I'm not joking about this by the way. $130 electric bills were common during the Summer months. Other than these things we generally enjoyed our time there. Sandy, by the way, was great to us everytime we saw her. She was bitter with management, but what can you expect when she had to fight with the owner to replace our "cat pee" carpeting the day we moved in. That's just what she was up against.
