Bought a "plug-in" roach deterrant the first month from seeing 3-4 roaches, seems to be working. No coin laundry, have to purchase a magnetic credit card from the office that never works and forget trying to get a refund on the money you put on it. (I have asked 6 times over 3 weeks, twice to the office and 4 times to the company that provides the cards). Maintenance does try to repair things quicker than others have written, though the stories of garbage being thrown out windows and the cooking odors are disgustingly true. Personally, I feel the management would correct most problems if notified, they do offer "remodeled apts" in some of the buildings at a higher rent, apparently a new option for 2004. Am I the only tenant that picks up my dogs litter' Some buildings in this complex are "dog buildings", for additional rent you can have a dog. My carpet was brand new, no complaints there. My upstairs neighbor is either 400 lbs or just a heavy walker with a gigantic bass speaker that likes to play monotonous ever pounding music. Most neighbors are friendly. We had 13 vehicles broken into in ONE night last week, luckily mine wasn't one...yet'
Rent at your own risk, communicate frequently with the office if you do decide to move here.
Heat is unbearable strong, yet we don't want to open our windows in the winter for fear of break-ins. Yes, condoms on the sidewalks and broken beer bottles are scattered about, but when reported...have been cleaned up as far as I know.
