Find A Better Place! Looks Nice, but problems are hidden. Poor Management

I lived here for over 5 years and the new management is worse the the old. Old management went out of the way to help residents and were friendly. They even spent their own money for a Christmas party. The new company has improved the look of the apartments, but water leaks are frequent and go unfixed. Air conditioning works poorly. Some neighbors are loud and police are a fairly regular sight. Walls are thin with poor insulation.

Management increases rent every new lease period no matter what they promise. A neighbor had his rent go up $200 at the year (20 % increase). The management treats you like trash and does not call you back as promised. They act nice but cannot be trusted. Security lights around buildings are frequently off at night. Maintenance is overworked with rennovations and don't have a sufficient time to really address real maintenance issues. WARNING: Read the lease carefully, last lease had no way to get out of the lease early, if you move out after two months then you still owe the next 10 months rent which will be about to $10,000 on a year lease. After inital lease they will not let you stay month to month unless you pay a fee and they will increase your rent to market value. They treat new residents with move-ing specials but as a long time resident you get no special treatment or appreciation.

There are many apartments nearby on Fawell (22nd) and Lorrianne. Find something there. The extra distance to COD is worth a better living condition.

I would not recommend living here to anyone unless there is a special circumstance. Beware of living here with roomates, make sure that you have good apartmentmates that can come up with their share every month or you may be help liable for a large sum of money as you cannot get out of the lease early.

Hey buddy- were you recently evicted? The office staff seems great to me!

While your review is at least coherent, it is not correct in many respects. 1. The maintenance staff DOES NOT handle the renovations! They contract that work out to other companies, as well as many other services at the property. Way to tell the truth, genius. Your review is automatically biased and difficult to believe because of this comment. 2. I have never seen an exterior light go out. Ever. What building were you living at? 3. When I moved in, the office staff told me they were actively trying to weed out the "undesirables." Something tells me you and your neighbor were not desirable tenants.
