There is way too much noise in this place. The stairs are horrible and need to be replaced. The maintence on the whole place is horrible. They never replaced the gutter like I asked. I never should have had to, they should have done that before I even moved it. The roof has been leaking the last few months and the way they fix it is to paint the ceiling on the inside. The neighbors are pretty loud and obnoxious even late at night. Management could've been much better. If management was better these things that are wrong with the complex as a whole would be taken care of. I had the worst stress ever in my life living here. I've had a neighbor there yell at me for ciggarette butts on his lawn. We don't smoke. I am asthamatic. He just yelled at me for it and then didn't pay attention when I explained it couldn't have been us. And that he should ask the guy next to him. beware if you don't smoke because sometimes I could smell the ciggarette smoke coming up from the apartment below me in the kitchen and bathroom all the time. Some one was also not picking up after their dogs and not only is it not asthetically pleasing (which seemed to be the most important thing in this place) it could get other dogs sick or give them deseases. Also was told that the cracks in the walls cand ceiling were from the building setteling. Buildings like this and houses take a year to settle. This place has been around for over 40 years. The heating was also always one extreme or another in the fall. Rent was way too much for the things we had to deal with. Not only do people stomp on the stairs, they let their kids play on them as well. Parking is horrbile. Some people just can't park properly in one spot, gotta take up two and over hang on the sidewalk. Also there are many many pot holes in the parking lot that they refuse to actually just repave. They charge too much for things and not fix anything properly. They should not start charging outrageous fees for any extras that they are required to do anyways. I have a serious problem with that.

i live at Glen Ellyn apartments for a long time, i have never had a problem with the management. if you were having problems with neighbors YOU should have called police. rent is high i don't think so we get heat,water,gas included, i have had no problem with my heat. what FEES are you talking about, i am not paying any FEES, parking has never been a problem for me. THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS HERE, INGRID IS GREAT SHE IS THE NICEST PERSON. ANY TIME I CALL THE OFFICE TO HAVE SOMETHING DONE IT IS ALWAYS DONE.

I lived there for two years. I didn't call the police because I refuse to ause bigger drama then there needs to be. And that was appreciated big time by management. Rent is too high for the problems I had. The parking lot has pot holes and needs to be completely repaved it isn't safe. You can bet that if I was still living there and something happened to my husbands car because of the large potholes there we would have sued for the cost of the repairs. They need to keep things like that in mind. Same with the stairs. They are very unsafe and full of rust. They freeze over horribly and the that is not taken care of fast enough. And as for fees, I don't know if you live in a sheltered world or what but in the real world the economy is horrible. The last thing I needed was extra fees tacked onto me when we moved out because we both lost our jobs. I never said Ingrid was a mean person. Do not take words out of the mouths of other people. It's rude. Lucky you for getting things done you needed worked on in your apartment right away. not everyone else is so lucky. Gees. Pay attention. You are not the only person living there and everyone has a different experience. I will never reccomend the place.
