I moved in here about a year ago. I got a very good deal on rent. However, I was ready to move downtown or get a bigger unit locally. Well guess what I can't afford to live downtown. As for apartments around Hillcrest, I got quotes about $200 more for equivalent size. The bigger apartments were way out of my price range. Is it perfect at Hillcrest, hell no. I do not understand why my neighbor's building is painted but my building still has the gross 70's paint affect. I like my unit. I have read about people complaining about towing. These must be the same idiots who do not renew their plates or driver's licenses or forget to file taxes on April 15. Come on how dumb do you have to be to get towed' If you have to call in a car before Midnight, don't start calling at 12:01. If anything I wish they would tow more often, because everyday some fool takes up two spots parking. Snowplowing' Huh' I go to work in Lombard, they plow during the day so you can't park. At Hillcrest, I hear them plow but I never see a truck. You wake up and the snow is gone, you pull out on Butterfield and you're screwed. I wish I could move about, I can't afford Trump Tower. This is the best Apt I can get for my money.
