Nature of the beast

Ok, I understand that with forums such as these, it is people's nature to complain. They screw up, get caught and then take it out on places like here.
I lived at Hillcrest for over 10 years and just bought a house. Hillcrest is run VERY well. I had an upstairs neighbor that liked to play the piano at 4am and bowl with beer bottles. She was quickly warned and eventually left.
I see people complaining about their cars being towed. I lived there before and after this towing. I do disagree with being towed for an expired license sticker but this cut down huge the lack of parking. This also cut down on one apartment having 5 cars. I never did have a parking problem. Others complain because they cant park right in front of their door.
This is not a party place. If you feel like playing loud music and having parties every weekend, then this is not a place for you. Keep your noise in your apartment and everybody is happy. If you want to have parties, then buy a house.
Unfortunately, with low rent, you will get low lives. Management proactively keeps them out as best they can. That cannot be said with most places. The apartments in my town charge $1200-1500/month. They were very nice. They just started letting in section 8 people from the projects that were recently closed in Chicago. Their tenants are not moving out because their apartment complex is now the ghetto where halls smelling like pot are a nightly occurrence. This is also happening in Naperville, Lombard...etc. I always felt safe in Hillcrest.
So, if you are looking for a great apartment at a great price, Hillcrest can't be beat.
