Moving back despite Midnight Towing...

I lived in Hill Crest for a year about 2 years ago. I had a roommate and after the year we were not going to be rooming together, so we moved out. Overall, I was very satisfied with the value of Hill Crest. It's close to everything I needed and the apartments were a great size for the cost.
The only downside (a pretty big one, though) is Midnight Towing. I understand needing to tow cars that sit there broken down or are abandoned. Unfortunately, Hillcrest has a deal with Midnight Towing that they can and do tow any car without a parking permit at midnight-- and they roll through at 12:01. If you have visitors over, you have to call the towing company and let them know. Once, I had my friend's car called in, and they still towed it. Then they refused to give the car back without paying. Finally, the apartment complex actually refunded the money.
I will be moving back to Hill Crest in a few months, but I really with that Midnight Towing were gone.

Hillcrest does not use any company called Midnight Towing, and there are no parking permits used at the site. If a vehicle is going to be towed for any reason, a warning sticker is placed on the vehicle at least 24 hours in advance, and Roland's Towing provides the towing service. As our streets are public streets, the City of Normandy and also St. Louis County Police have the authority to tow cars which are illegally parked or have no plates/tags just the same as they do on any public street. I would assume that the police are the company using Midnight Towing. We are glad you find Hillcrest a good value - we strive very hard to make this the best community we can for our residents!
