I lived at this property for a few months, but in that time I could tell that the place was on the slide down. There were no gangs then, if there were drugs I was clueless. I do remember that far too many of the others renting there were at the bottom of the heap in social pecking order. My son and I were probably the only black family there, yes there were those who were not open to our living there. By the GRACE of God we have moved on and up, yet many of those who opposed our being moved on, but they did not move above the like of this development. Glendale Heights as a whole is just not a place one makes the choice to live in. The city is a dumping ground for the poor of DuPage County and the village used police and their ticket writing to make money for this place of limited revenue gain. Very poor people of all races live in Glendale Heights
