so far so good

I moved into this apartment a few months ago and so far so good. My neighbors are all friendly and the management is easy going. It is a quiet location with pretty landscaping. The only thing I have issues with is maintenance and parking. If you are planning on parking after 10pm, make sure you have your walking shoes on because the closest spot will be on the complete other side of the complex. Also, be sure to specify every little thing you want fixed with the maintenace crew. And make sure you call multiple times to check if someone is coming to fix it. maintenace has left my apartment quite messy after apparently "fixing" the problem, and management continues to send in a mainentance man who is allergic to cats into my apartment to fix things even though I specify I have a cat. This has caused things to take even longer to get fixed. Also, be sure to keep all documentation that management has approved you to have pets in your apartment. They will try and fine you multiple times for "lying about having pets" when in reality you had it approved from the time you moved in. Theresa, Glenlake employee, is notorious for this.
Other than crappy maintenace employees, management trying to charge you multiple times for having pets at your apartment, and sub-par parking the complex is decent. They just jacked up rent though so unless you are looking to pay $890 for a one bedroom, you should probably go elsewhere.
