Better Than Most

I've been here for three months and I really can't complain. The women in the office are nice and always say hello, or at least wave when you see them around the complex.

The apartments are huge. I almost don't have enough furniture to fill it, or enough stuff to put on the walls. Having a washer, dryer, and a dishwasher is great. The kitchen is enormous, as well. You would be hard pressed to find a kitchen like this in any other apartment. The appliances are decent, although, I'm sure it varies from unit to unit. My dishwasher and washer/dryer seem pretty new. The fridge is starting to show it's age (produce seems to get funky really fast in it). The stove is probably getting up there in age, as well, but it works just fine. The apartment was VERY clean when I moved in. There was no evidence of any real damage, just the usual wear and tear you'll find in any apartment.

What I really like about this place is the fact that there are windows on both ends of the apartment, which is great for getting a cross breeze- something I've never had in an apartment.

I live on the ground floor and can usually hear my neighbors walking around upstairs, but nothing else really. My neighbor across the halls listens to metal and really cranks it up sometimes, but I don't hear it unless I'm outside, or passing through the hall.

The people here seem decent. It gets pretty quiet around the complex at night, but expect the fire department/ambulances to show up a few times a month. Not sure why. I haven't seen anything sketchy going on here (not bad for the 'Heights!)

Now for the downside...

There's a marsh on the edge of the complex that breeds all kinds of little critters. Be prepared for ants (mostly outside). I put out some ant baits and they all but disappeared within a couple of weeks. The bees/wasps really like to build nests on the decks and around the buildings, but tell the office and they'll get rid of it. I've also had some spiders in my apartment. Mostly little ones that really don't bother me, but I've had a couple big ones... real dangerous looking thug-like spiders. Nothing a little Raid couldn't handle.
