My favorite apartment so far

I've had bad apartments before, and this one's not a luxury one by any means, but it suits me fine. I am a very light sleeper and have had absolutely no problem with noise. I hardly ever see my neighbors (except one couple who I've gotten to know) and my unit is huge (I've got an awesome corner one). The building is rather old, so the hallways and lobby's are a tad worn and stained, but they've said their getting them redesigned soon...although they also said that they were updating the kitchens and baths in the apartments, but not mine yet. My neighbors have the updates and they're nice. They're reinforcing the balconies now too so that'll be nice, though I wish they would have done it before summer started. As for parking, the lot isn't in the best of shape...pot holes and such, but what lot doesn't. I do tend to work late being in retail, however, and it can be hard to find a space later in the evening that's close or well lit, but I don't feel unsafe by any means...of course that could be because most of the residents are my grandma's age and harmless. I do have two big complaints, though. The firedoors...three big, heavy doors all down the hall that make getting you your apartment a challenge. And no change machine in the laundry room so stock up on quarter rolls. Other than that I am completely satisfied...and no, I'm not a member of the management team, for those skeptics out there.
