First, these apartments are false advertised!!! They say it's a drug free place but yet you have the drug smell coming all through the vents and in the hall. You can smell what your neighbor is cooking through your vents and if you live on the 4th floor, you can smell what the perosn on the 1st floor is cooking, sick and nasty. Second they say Wedgewood Creek is a safe place but how can it be safe when cars get broken into outside the parking lot and in the underground parking and the funny thing is that at the end of the parking lot around the 1600 building, the assistant manager Jenny lives there and there is a whole bunch of stuff happening outside and she stays in her apartment like she does not want anything to do with it even though she is a manager she acts so scared of anything, so act like a real manager and another thing, Jenny seems to love getting these thugs, skank girls in this place so again this is a very unsafe place for people!!! Like you really want your kids looking at skank girls and thugs around this place and even in the buildings, people walk around with 40's in the hands drinking smoking and sometimes even drugs in the stairwells. So I bet you really want your kids and family/friends living here. The washer and dryer room is very very dirty. The washers are to damn small and they charge $1.25 per load and a lot of times they don't even work and it's not really a load, it's a half a load and the dryers are very very small. It's a quarter to use it yes, but the dryers do not dry proper, they burn your clothes, even ripping the seem and some of them don't even work or spin, they leave your clothes wet.

The management sucks!!!! All they care about is money big time. They come up with all these "new rules" and expect you to pay every single little issue that arrises like were made of money. It seems like their trying to make extra money on the side with all these new rules. I was late one day and i ended up paying $175.00 for one day late and it even wasn't my fault but then again these apartments are money hungry and they don't care about anyone except their money big time. If you want to move out to get a better place while on a lease policy, the management requires atleast $2000.00 and you still have to pay for the carpet $100.00 to get shampooed which they are not worth at all.

The grounds are poorly kept big time. Glass is on the ground outside all over and beer bottles to. Trash laying everywere, garbage pilled up in the chutes, pee/poop in the stairwells and the elevator and boy let me tell you, the elevator is a piece of garbage!! It takes forever for the elevator to reach a floor and the doors close all extra slow and it feels like the elevator is about to breakdown any time soon. They are poorly kept with gang markings on the walls and they smell very bad, and not only that, the hallways smell like someone took a crap in the hallway.

The garage is poorly kept big time. If you wash your vehicle, don't expect for it to be very clean the next morning!! The garage is very dirty and very very very dusty along with smelling the fumes and having people break into your vehicle and they don't even give you that much room for parking but yet the manager has like a 4 space special spot for her with her own garage door and she doesn't do nothing around here to deserve it!! This is not a very well kept garage at all!!!!

I was told that their were no section 8 allowed here but yet all these people are in here from section 8 and I even told her at the time of looking around that I didn't want to be in a place with section 8 and she said that their is a program that helps people but she reworded it and I found out that it is indeed section 8 and the people that stay here with section 8 I noticed walk around the hallways alot, have very disrupting parties, and are very dirty. The neighbors are fairly descent now but when I first moved in they were loud and very obnocious but I noticed that there is way to many thugs living around here now and the gurnee police have routine checks through the parking lot.

One of the reviews said that this was a nice place to live but huh that sounds like the assistant manager Jenny putting all that because she has only lived here for about 2 months and she doesn't do a damn thing except snooping around the place, and covering up for other people because I feel that she herself does drugs and she tries to protect the people that do it themselves!!!

They say that the parking lot is well lit and secured, that's a total lie big time!!!! My friends sterio was ripped out of his vehicle, busted glass on the ground, people that don't live here park here for a while and stay in their vehicles like their doing some sort of snooping and scoping out the parking lot then drive off when you get close to their vehicle. ""IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE THIS THEN JUST DRIVE BY HERE AT NIGHT, IT'S THE TRUTH!!!!""

Overall, stay away from Wedgewood Creek Apartments if you can!!!!!! I don't want anyone going through what I went through. This is one experience I will never forget and thank GOD I'm moving out now!!!!!!

I just want to say that some of these things are still the same (although I'm not sure about Jenny... I don't know her). But, I think people will take your review more seriously if you use proper grammer and spelling. This review sounds like it was writen by a child, Big Time!
