1. Office staff and property manager are extremely uncooperative.

2. Laundry facility is disgusting, inefficent, expensive, and there is a theft problem. I have had towels and denim jeans go missing.

4. Underground parking is dirty, inconveneint (my space is a mile away from the door I need to get to my building, and unsecured. The doors hardly ever work, and often you find your parking space has been taken in inclement weather by someone else.

5. Most tennants are friendly, however alot of them allow their children to play in the hallways and elevators. This usually results in vandalism that never gets repaired and garbage left in the halls.

6. Rent has been raised, however I noticed that new tennants are being offered a lesser price for the same apartment. Not very nice to an established good tennant.

7. Parking lots are dark, inconvenient for guests and unmaintained.

8. The intercom system that allows you to buzz in guests broke last spring. It took them almost 6 weeks to get it fixed. Until then you had to run down to the lobby to let them in. Plus, secured building is questionable anyways since at least once a day I see any of the outer doors propped open so anyone can walk in.

9. Playground and "fitness trail" are not maintained and haven't been painted or repaired in years. The fitnees trail that runs the perimeter hasn't had the cement repaired in forever and is usually flooded over or overrun by weeds. Plus, no lighting, so it really isn't safe in the evening.

10. Someone threw up in the lobby over the holiday. The office staff gave themselves a four day vacation and the tennant that vomited didn't bother to clean it. It sat there for two days. I think that smell will never come out.

11. Secured storage rooms' Er..when you can get a key to it, I have seen several cages that have been broken into. Store at your own risk.

12. APARTMENTS ARE VERY POORLY INSULATED. THE DRAFT IN THE WINTER IS ALMOST UNBEARABLE AND YOU WILL GET BUGS EVEN WITH THE DOOR CLOSED TIGHT.

To sum up...the apartments are fair, the prices are poor, and the staff is worthless. Loud music, car horns, and garbage is a way of life. Get used to flickering hall lights, frequent fire alarms in the middle of the night, and crime. It is what it is. Some are happy, some aren't. Some stay because they can't afford anything else in Gurnee, but most leave because they can't believe it is the same apartment advertised.



Rent at your own judgement. You don't always get what you pay for.
