It was less than enjoyable

There was not a lot about this place that was up to code. I'll begin with parking, There were plenty of spaces, but they were all very narrow spots, to small for me to fit a compact pickup into, even our Saturn was a pain to park in them. There are 4 sets of doors to go through to get to the average apartment, this is a major pain when moving furniture, or bringing in groceries. For a building with 16 units in it, there are 2 washers and 2 dryers, most of the time 1 of them was broken, at any case, I spent many nights doing my laundry at 3:00am. The apartment complex sits near a major road, but the walls seem to be constructed to let sound pass through them uninhibited. you get used to the sound of traffic, it's being able to hear all your neighbors that gets worrysome. The floors creak a lot, and it seems they let parents with many kids have the top floor apartments, just to make things more annoying. The view was nice, they made an apartment pond in the middle to make things look good. There was a horrible roach problem. We'd find them every few days even though they came and sprayed more than once during my 5 month duration there. The layout of the kitchen was nice, but the appliances were in horrible shape. The oven's pilot lights would keep burning all the time, making the surface very painful to accidentally touch, as well there were strange wires hanging from the top of my oven. The dishwasher was insanely loud, and refrigerator had a pretty bad smell that wouldn't go away. When showering the bathroom bled yellow goo, probably left over from smokers. We also paid their $1500 "damages" fee to leave early because I couldn't live in that place anymore, and they still only gave me $195 back on my security deposit. Do not live there if you have any choice, and for $900 per month, you have a lot of choices, like buying a $100,000 home.
