It's just ok; you can do better

I would like to start off by saying that from the first moment I moved in there I knew this was not to be a long-term home. The apartments were quite small for the price and I believe that unless you are desperate you can get something more spacious for just as much or maybe less money. The apartments were fairly nice, but I would not recommend staying there more than 6 months to a year at most.

My apartment didn't have a dishwasher and this was a real pain; I would have gladly traded my garbage disposal for a dishwasher. The appliances were fair. The microwave was modern, but the refrigerator and stove/oven were a bit older. The oven didn't even have a light and the surface of the stove was so hot that you can nearly burn yourself cleaning it. The maintenance guy said this was normal.

The noise level--when I first moved in things were pretty quiet. Then over time some neighbors next to me repeatedly made loud noise. Not only could I sing to the commercials on their television set, they also had several children who would jump or stomp on the floor. At one point my apartment rattled so much that garbage flew out of my garbage can in my kitchen. I complained to the office and the noise never was resolved. I believe a big factor in this is that it seemed that the walls were pretty thin anyway.

These apartments seemed to have poor temperature control. Throughout the hot summer months I found it almost impossible to keep my apartment comfortable enough without constantly running my air conditioner. Even after running my air conditioner for a couple hours, I still could not get the temp below 85 degrees and within 30 minutes of turning it off it seemed like the air conditioner never ran at all. Closing the blinds and windows and running my ceiling fan never helped keep the cool air in. The same happened in the colder weather with it being cold in the apartment. It didn't feel like the apartment was insulated all that well.

Parking was okay. I never had trouble finding a spot, though there seemed to be a different story in other areas of the complex. As for moving in, I had to go through 3 building doors before even reaching my door and this complicated the move.

Recycling' What's that' It's not here, that's for sure.

Laundry facilites are frequently difficult to get access to and I saw some residents take their laundry to the laundromat instead.

The temperature of the water frequently fluctuated while in the shower and I had to keep adjusting it.

The fountain in the pond was rarely used and working. The property itself was not overly horrible to look at, but it's nothing I would write home about.

This property's water supply is from a well.

The property's two maintenance guys seemed competent and I didn't have to wait long for them to come to my apartment if I needed them. Overall they were pleasant, except on one occasion where one of them got quite snippy with me.
